Southside Community Church moves into 200 Main Street East, Milton Bible Church moves to new location

This fall, Milton Bible Church moved out of their location at 200 Main Street East in Milton and embarked on a new adventure at their new location at 121 Chisholm Drive. Southside Community Church, currently located at 7480 Derry Road, purchased the building.

The Downtown Milton Business Improvement Area sincerely thanks the Milton Bible Church for the positive impact they have had on our community and recognizes their work supporting the local community through youth programs, a food bank (serving up to 80 families in need every Thursday), addictions programs and more.

The Milton Bible Church purchased the building at 198/200 Main Street East in 1999. According to Jim Demarsh, Lead Pastor/Elder, they rebuilt most of the building but endeavoured to maintain the historical feel of the structure by including some of the original materials into the new structure. Construction was completed and the church opened in 2004 with 60-70 members in the congregation. With an ever-growing congregation, they purchased a larger space (formerly Teatro Conference and Event Centre) this year.

Ian Campbell, Lead Pastor of Southside Community Church, says that his group looks forward to continuing the great work of the Milton Bible Church. They will also seek new ways to serve and benefit the local community. They took over the space at 200 Main Street East this fall and are currently preparing for renovations. With a focus on openness, connections and community, the Southside Community Church is planning to complete their renovations and open at the new location in the spring of 2018.

We wish Milton Bible Church all the best in their new location and extend a warm welcome to Southside Community Church!
